Winter is Upon Us!

It snowed yesterday for the first time and I welcomed it with open arms. I’m looking forward to teaching Coltrane how to skate this winter, maybe I can teach myself while I’m at it.  Amber and I made our way to the Okanagan for 3 days to do some intense wine tasting!  We finished the weekend off at “Crushed”, which is the annual wine windup for all of the wineries in the Okanagan and surrounding areas.  I constantly tell people to get out there and check out the winery scene, it’s such a wonderful area of the world.

Following the wine tour weekend, I drove solo to Regina to watch my brother in law graduate from the RCMP depot.  It is extremely gratifying to see someone close to you accomplish their dreams.

After a lot of work, we finally released an album that we produced for the winner or the RED FM Multicultural IDOL Talent contest (Vietnamese category)  After an on-air interview, we had a formal cake cutting and pictures.  It is so nice when projects like these come together after such a long period of time.

I have joined a local Toastmasters group in Calgary NE.  I am enjoying to spirit of the group members and the challenges associated with delivering speeches while following specific parameters.  I’m about to deliver my 3rd speech, which discusses the Poppy and the significance of wearing one around Remembrance Day.

We brought the boys out for yet another Halloween.  Coltrane dressed up as a skeleton and Adderley was Ironman :)  Such sweethearts.  Holidays are no longer a mystery to these boys, every time ones rolls around, they know exactly what to do!
